Privacy Policy

Sol runs on your device. UV planning is computed locally from your inputs and Apple WeatherKit data.

Location: used only while you use the app, to fetch local UV/weather for your chosen city. Coordinates are used to look up weather and are not stored on our servers.
Weather: retrieved from Apple WeatherKit. Apple's handling is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Your plan & profiles: skin type, SPF, and the people you track are stored on your device (and synced across your own Apple devices via Apple frameworks where applicable).
Notifications: reapply reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
Health data (optional): if you enable Apple Watch auto-tracking, Sol reads your Time in Daylight from Apple Health to count today's sun minutes and estimate vitamin D. This data is read on your device, is never uploaded to any server, is never shared with third parties, and is never used for advertising. You can revoke access at any time in the Health app. Sol does not write to Apple Health.

Purchases

We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data. There is no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. Purchases are processed by Apple; subscription status is managed via RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user ID and the App Store transaction — never your name, contacts, or content.

Children

This app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Terms of Use

By downloading or using Sol, you agree to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula, together with the terms below.

Subscriptions & purchases

Sol offers auto-renewing monthly and annual subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. A one-time lifetime purchase is also available — it is a non-consumable, one-time payment and does not auto-renew. Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region.
