Privacy Policy

Your inspections, notes and nearby-device observations are stored on this device. We do not receive that content. A report leaves the app only when you choose to share it.

• Camera: used for a live view with optional color filters. Filters do not add infrared sensing hardware or identify hidden cameras.
• Bluetooth & local network: used to list discoverable devices and network responses. Results do not identify a device as a camera or determine whether it is recording.
• Motion / magnetometer: used to display magnetic readings. Many ordinary objects and electronics affect these readings.
• Inspections and scan history: stored locally on your device. Inspection reports contain the checklist statuses and notes you entered.

Purchases

There is no advertising or cross-app tracking. Apple processes purchases. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase history to manage access and provide purchase analytics. It does not receive your inspection notes or scan results.

Children

This app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Subscriptions & purchases

CounterSpy offers auto-renewing weekly, monthly, and annual subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region.

Disclaimer

CounterSpy is a manual inspection and record-keeping tool. It cannot identify hidden cameras, prove that a room is free of recording devices, or certify safety. Checklist statuses and reports describe your own observations; a completed checklist is not a safety verdict. It is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind; to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of it.
